The Einstein School Collected Over 800 Pairs of Shoes in January to Help Soles4Souls Meet the Basic Needs of Those Experiencing Hardship.
A cornerstone of the Einstein School’s mission is to find new and creative ways to give back to the local and global community. This January, Garret McDowell, the Student Engagement Coordinator, announced a challenge for the Einstein student body: collect 500 pairs of shoes to donate to Soles4Souls, an organization committed to protecting the environment and helping people around the world by gifting them gently worn shoes.
By mid-January, Einstein had received 500 pairs of shoes for community members in crisis. Having met its initial goal, Einstein committed to collecting the maximum number of shoes possible for those who need them most!
By the end of the month, the Einstein School had collected 847 pairs of shoes! Students at Einstein understand that just as every child deserves an educational plan that best suits them, everyone deserves to have their basic needs met. As Einstein keeps pace with an ever-changing, rapidly evolving world, its students continue to serve communities, both locally and internationally. At Einstein, students strive to become better versions of themselves every day!
