Chris Knox is wrapping up his very first year as an official Einstein English teacher. Chris graduated from UNT in 2016 with a degree in English (with a focus on Creative Writing) and he has spent a decade putting his lyrical talents to use as a musician. The lessons Chris has learned while combining his educational background and personal history with music showed him how universal lessons can be applied across different career fields. Chris brings this integrated knowledge to his teaching where he shows students how important interdisciplinary learning can be.
At Einstein, Chris teaches English I: Literary Foundations, English III: American Literature, and English IV: British Literature. In every class, Chris talks with students about not just the literature, but also the context and culture that produced it. Chris tries to show his students how all disciplines relate to and influence one another. Ultimately, Chris’s greatest goal as a teacher is to nurture a life-long love of learning in his students. Chris is always learning, and he inspires his students to be life-long learners as well!
